We listen to our customers, genuinely believe in every child, and always deliver more than what is expected. Can my child take a trial class before we enroll?
Yes! We highly encourage families to schedule a free trial class for their child. This provides the opportunity to tour the studio, ask questions and get a feel as to how we operate. Each child is allowed to take one trial class. A trial class also helps us identify just the right class and level your child should start in. When is your dance recital?
Mindy's Dance Center's annual recital performance is scheduled sometime in June at Lee's Summit West High School. The recital event provides students an opportunity to showcase to family members and friends what they have learned throughout the year, on-stage in the full make-up and costume. Be sure to ask about our convenient Recital Bundles.
How many recital performances do you have?
This year we have scheduled a total of two recital performances, matinee and evening! Not all dancers will perform in both it will be determined on the classes they are enrolled in. See our schedule to confirm performance. As we continue to grow, we listen to our customers and make adjustments to ensure the best recital experience for everyone involved. These performances generally sell out so we encourage everyone to purchase tickets early.
What fees do I have to pay when I enroll?
To enroll in classes, you will pay an annual registration fee and the first month's tuition (prorated for late enrollment).
If my child misses a class can I schedule a make-up lesson?
Yes! Students may make up absences by attending any other age appropriate regularly scheduled class. We encourage you to schedule make-up lessons within two (2) weeks of the missed/canceled class. Make-up lessons may be scheduled through the front desk or by contacting the studio at 816-554-7827.
How will I know if the studio is closed when it snows?
Mindy’s Dance Center follows the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District snow closing schedule. Other traditional holidays observed include Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, Spring Break, and Memorial Day. In the event of early dismissal from schools due to inclement weather, members will be notified of closures via voice broadcast, email and/or social media postings.
What is your withdraw and refund policy? Due to our limited class sizes, one (1) month’s notice from the first (1st) of the month is required to discontinue any classes. all withdrawals must be done at the front office and not with the instructor. To withdraw from classes a parent or guardian must: (1) inform office administration by email/text/phone. All auto pay payments will stop after the one (1) month notice period. Mindy’s Dance Center reserves the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice. No refunds are available for tuition, registration, or any other Mindy's Dance Center-related charges.

We have office staff available daily and during all class times to assist you with any questions. You may also email your questions to the studio and one of our staff members will be sure to reply.
